RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 8 PM MDT THIS
EVENING
.DISCUSSION...
A Red Flag Warning is in effect for portions of southeast Wyoming across
Carbon County. Afternoon humidity values will drop into the 5 to 10% range
with winds gusting at an above 30 mph. Poor overnight humidity recoveries are
expected with portions of Carbon County only seeing recoveries to around 25 to
30%. Critical fire weather conditions are expected again on Sunday, though to
reduce confusion, decided not to issue a Fire Weather Watch for Sunday with the
Red Flag Warning ongoing for Saturday. Stay tuned for updates regarding fire
weather headlines. For the week, fire weather concerns decrease as a strong
cold front brings widespread rainfall on Tuesday and temperatures drop back
into the 70 to 80 degree range.
