.DISCUSSION...
Minimal fire weather concerns anticipated today as afternoon minimum
humidity values remain about 30 percent. Winds will be a touch breezy
this afternoon across Carbon and Albany counties, but more moisture
will be present across the region, limiting fire concerns. Concerns
start to increase Wednesday onwards as afternoon minimum humidity
values drop into the 15 to 20 percent range west of the Laramie Range
and 25 to 40 percent east of the Laramie Range. Breezy conditions are
anticipated across Carbon and Albany counties again, increasing the
fire concerns. There is lower confidence on achieving three hours of
consecutive Red Flag criteria west of the Laramie Range and with the
moisture over the past few days, fires may be a bit more difficult to
get going. Therefore, decided not to do any fire weather headlines for
Wednesday at this time. However, elevated to near critical conditions
will continue each afternoon through the end of the week.
