Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Wyoming/Western Nebraska
National Weather Service CHEYENNE WY
111 PM MDT Sat Aug 9 2025

RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MDT THIS EVENING

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns will diminish headed into the start of the
week. A cold front moving through Saturday will lead to cooler,
below average temperatures and higher relative humidity on Sunday.
Winds will also be weaker during this time period as a ridge of high
pressure begins to build over the Great Basin. Temperatures will
gradually warm through mid-week, with above average temperatures and
dry conditions returning. However, winds will remain weak during
this time.
