.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather concerns will be on the downtrend for the next few days.
Today, RH is expected to drop to between 15 and 20% for the High
Plains, but winds are expected to be lighter. A potent surge of moisture
from the southwest will keep RH higher along and west of the Laramie
Range today. There may be some locally elevated fire weather conditions
more or less along the I-25 corridor where westerly breezes intersect
with the lower RH, but critical conditions are not expected.
The moisture will spread across the rest of the area Friday and bring
minimal fire weather concerns into the weekend. While RH will be fairly
high, the chance of wetting rainfall is expected to remain low for
areas east of the Laramie Range. A period of strong winds is increasingly
likely Saturday into Sunday, but this will be accompanied by cooler
temperatures and RH above critical.
