.DISCUSSION...
Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are ongoing mainly in
Converse, Niobrara, Platte, and Goshen counties, but the lowest RH
and highest wind speeds are generally not occurring at the same time.
Breezy southerlies are expected to continue through the night tonight,
impeding RH recovery to around 30 to 45% along and west of the Laramie
Range, and around 40 to 55% along the elevated ridges of the High Plains.
Another hot day is anticipated Thursday, but increasing moisture should
keep RH above critical thresholds for most of the area. Chances for
thunderstorms will increase during the late afternoon and evening. Cooler
and wetter conditions will arrive Friday, reducing fire weather concerns
into early next week.
