...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations
  between 4 and 10 inches.

* WHERE...McKean and Warren Counties.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A 6 to 8 hour lull in the Lake Effect Snow
  will occur into early this afternoon as the mean low level
  steering wind becomes west-southwesterly. Heavy snow bands will
  drift back south into the region later this afternoon and evening,
  significantly ramping up the snow accumulation and greatly
  reducing this visibility at times to below one quarter of a mile.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON
TO 10 AM EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and
  6 inches, with up to 8 inches on the ridges to the west of Route
  219. Westerly winds gusting as high as 45 mph, creating
  significant blowing and drifting of the snow.

* WHERE...Somerset County.

* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 10 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.
  Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A lull in the persistent and heavier upslope
  snow will occur through the mid afternoon hours today. Heavier
  snow will drift southeast into the region later this afternoon and
  evening as an arctic frontal boundary approaches. A few heavy snow
  squalls will likely occur later this evening until around
  midnight. This will significantly ramp up the snow accumulation
  and greatly reduce this visibility at times to below one quarter
  of a mile.
