Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
659 PM EDT Fri Jul 4 2025

An incredibly nice Independence Day is underway across
Pennsylvania with seasonable temperatures and comfortable
humidity levels. Tonight will be mainly clear to partly cloudy
with low temperatures in the low 50s to low 60s.

Expect a warming trend through the first weekend of July along
with an uptick in humidity. A couple of showers or thunderstorms
are possible downwind of Lake Erie and over the higher terrain in
western Pennsylvania Saturday afternoon and evening; otherwise it
will be a mainly dry weekend for the majority of the Commonwealth.

Heat and humidity will build Sunday into early next week. Heat
index values could approach 100 degrees Monday afternoon in parts
of the lower Susquehanna, Lehigh, and Delaware Valleys. Some
thunderstorms could produce heavy downpours on Monday and Tuesday,
especially in eastern Pennsylvania. Look for unsettled weather to
continue into later next week with seasonably warm temperatures
for early July.
