Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
1114 PM EDT Sun Jul 6 2025

While most areas will remain dry through the night, a few showers
may begin to move into southeast PA before sunrise ahead of the
remnants of Chantal. Low temperatures tonight will range from the
low 60s over the Alleghenies, to the upper 60s and low 70s
elsewhere.

Showers and thunderstorms will increase in coverage over the
southeastern piedmont through the morning on Monday and into the
afternoon as moisture associated with Chantal moves in. Additional
showers and storms will develop during the afternoon ahead of a
cold front slowly moving in from the northwest. Some of the storms
will be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall. High
temperatures will range from the mid 80s to the mid 90s.

The slow moving cold front will trigger additional showers and
storms on Tuesday over southern PA as it interacts with lingering
tropical moisture. The frontal boundary stalls out across
Southern PA or Northern VA Tuesday night into Wednesday. Look for
unsettled weather to continue into latter part of the upcoming
week with seasonably warm temperatures for early July.
