Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
505 AM EDT Fri Jul 4 2025

An incredibly nice Independence Day across Pennsylvania with
plenty of sun, seasonal temperatures and comfortable humidity.
High temperatures will range from the mid 70s in the Poconos to
the mid 80s across the lower elevations in the southern part of
the Keystone State. Tonight will be mainly clear to partly cloudy
with low temperatures in the low 50s to low 60s.

Expect a warming trend through the first weekend of July along
with an uptick in humidity levels. A couple of showers or an
isolated thunderstorm are possible downwind of Lake Erie and over
the higher terrain in western Pennsylvania Saturday afternoon and
evening; otherwise it will be a mainly dry weekend for the
majority of the Commonwealth.

Heat and humidity will build Sunday into early next week along
with the odds for showers and thunderstorms. Heat indices could
approach 100 degrees Monday afternoon in parts of the lower
Susquehanna, Lehigh, and Delaware Valleys. Some thunderstorms
could produce heavy downpours on Monday. Look for unsettled
weather to continue into later next week with seasonably warm
temperatures for early July.
