Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
534 AM EST Mon Dec 8 2025

Today will be cold and dry with high temperatures in the upper
teens and 20s under partly to mostly cloudy skies. Tonight will be
bitterly cold with low temperatures in the single digits above
and below zero across the northern tier and in the low to mid
teens farther to the south.

Light snow returns to the forecast across northern and western
sections of the Keystone state late Tuesday afternoon, though the
better chance for snow will come on Wednesday as an area of low
pressure approaches from the west. Snow will mix with or change
over to rain Wednesday afternoon for much of Pennsylvania as
temperatures climb into the 30s and 40s. The heaviest snow is
expected to fall over the northwestern part of the Commonwealth,
where 3 to 6 inches of snow is possible. Wind gusts on Wednesday
will range from 25 to 35 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph
possible in the Laurel Highlands.

A resurgence of arctic air is projected for the later part of the
week into the upcoming weekend with an elevated risk of snow.
