Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
1212 PM EST Fri Nov 8 2024

A mostly sunny, warm, and breezy afternoon is on tap for all of
the Commonwealth today. Temperatures will be above normal again
today with highs in the upper 50s in the north central mountains
and near 70 degrees in Philadelphia. The west wind will be gusty,
reaching into the 20s and perhaps 30 MPH at times, especially over
the Allegheny Plateau.

A dry cold front will drop across the state from north to south
late this afternoon through early tonight. Only clouds, no
showers, are expected as it passes. High pressure then slides in
overnight and decreases the clouds. Lows will be back to nearly
normal numbers in the upper 20s to lower 40s.

Saturday will turn out mostly sunny with high temperatures just a
little above normal. The wind will be lighter as it turns to the
north and eventually to the east.

A frontal system will arrive Sunday afternoon and cross the state
from west to east by Monday morning. A widespread half of an inch
or so of rainfall is expected.
