Clear skies and cold conditions early today as a ridge of high
pressure drifts over Western Pennsylvania.

A short-lived warming trend kicks off today and continues into
Saturday, with morning sunshine followed by increasing clouds
late today into early Saturday and perhaps a few light showers
crossing Northwestern PA early Saturday.

High temperatures today will vary from 55 to 60 across the
Northern Mountains and Laurel Highlands, to the low and mid 60s in
the Central and Southern Valleys.

Temperatures will trend approximately 5 to 10 degrees warmer for
afternoon highs on Saturday.

A potent cold front and upper level disturbance will push east
across the region late Sunday and Sunday night, preceded and
accompanied by a few rounds of gusty showers and thunderstorms
with the potential for locally heavy rainfall over 1 inch.
