A couple of showers or thunderstorms are possible downwind of Lake Erie and over the higher terrain in western Pennsylvania Saturday afternoon and evening; otherwise it will be a mainly dry weekend for the majority of the Commonwealth. High temperatures on Saturday will be in the mid to upper 80s. Heat and humidity will build Sunday into early next week. Heat index values could approach 100 degrees Monday afternoon in parts of the lower Susquehanna, Lehigh, and Delaware Valleys. Some thunderstorms could produce heavy downpours on Monday and Tuesday, especially in eastern Pennsylvania. Look for unsettled weather to continue into later next week with seasonably warm temperatures for early July. $$
