707 FNUS71 KCTP 180103 FWSCTP Spot Forecast for SGL 188...PA Game Commission National Weather Service State College PA 903 PM EDT Thu Apr 17 2025 Forecast is based on ignition time of 0600 EDT on April 18. If conditions become unrepresentative, or if you have questions or concerns with this forecast, contact the National Weather Service in State College. .DISCUSSION... High pressure overhead will allow the wind to drop off to nearly calm. The wind will pick up again on Friday as a southerly flow kicks in and makes gusts into the 20s areawide with the strongest wind likely to be up in the ANF. The RH will not be nearly as low on Friday as Thursday as the dewpoints rise a little. With no fuel moisture concerns through the Easter weekend (per coordination with PA DCNR/BOF fire weather partners on Wednesday), the potential for wildfire spread will remain low. Dewpoints rise Friday night and Saturday. A cold front will bring some stronger showers and thunderstorms to the region on Saturday. .FRIDAY... Sky/Weather.........Mostly sunny (40-50 percent).
