.DISCUSSION...
A ridge of high pressure extending from Lake Ontario, south
through Central PA and the Blue Ridge of Virginia will bring
mainly clear skies and light/variable wind this morning.
These conditions, along with relatively low dewpoints in the 20s
and 30s, will lead to widespread sub-freezing temperatures over
the Northern Mountains of PA and areas of Frost across the Central
Ridge and Valley Region of the state.
Morning and early afternoon sunshine today will be followed by a
thickening layer mid and high clouds later this afternoon and
evening with periods of rain/showers moving in late tonight and
lasting into Wednesday evening.
Mostly cloudy, notably cooler and unsettled weather will occur
Thursday and Friday as a deep mid and upper level trough drifts
overhead.
