.DISCUSSION...
Chilly and breezy conditions will occur this morning.
Skies will be mostly sunny today across South-Central PA as
a ridge of surface high pressure quickly builds east from the
Ohio Valley. This high will become centered along the Mid
Atlantic Coast late tonight.
The approach of the high pressure ridge will act to decrease
the wind today, with light wind following for tonight.
Clouds will thicken up and a gusty southerly breeze will
develop on Friday, ahead of a weak cold front. This weather
feature will push east across Pennsylvania late Friday and
Friday night, bringing some generally light rain showers to
the region.
Dry and slightly milder weather will occur for Saturday before
a strong cold pushes through the state Sunday, followed by
the coldest air of the season so far. A few rain showers will
occur along and ahead of this front, followed by scattered to
numerous mixed rain and snow showers over the Central Ridge
and Valley Region of the state and frequent snow showers with
light accumulation across the Northwest Mountains and Laurel
Highlands.
