.DISCUSSION...
Persistent northwest flow aloft and the presence of a nearly
stationary frontal boundary extending from the Finger Lakes region
of New York, south across the Endless Mountains, Western Poconos
and Southeastern PA will provide the focus for a few rounds of
showers and afternoon/evening thunderstorms today, Wednesday and
Thursday.
Some of the storms will be strong to severe with gusty winds,
frequent lightning, hail and locally very heavy rain of over 1
inch less than an hour.
Humidity will build across the state today through Tuesday and
stay well above normal through Thursday.
Humidity and the chance for rain will decrease for the upcoming
weekend.
