Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central Pennsylvania
National Weather Service State College, PA
306 PM EDT Fri Jun 6 2025

.DISCUSSION...

A weak and slow moving cold front near the Interstate 80 corridor
will drift south and east through the remainder of the state
through tonight.

Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected near and to the
south of this frontal boundary late this afternoon and evening,
some of which could result in 1 to 2 inches of rain in less than
one hour.

The front will across Southeastern Pennsylvania on Saturday,
and allow the NW half of the state to have a mainly dry day.

Showers and thunderstorms will work back in from the southwest
later Saturday night and Sunday, and result in a wet period
until the middle of next week.
