Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central Pennsylvania
National Weather Service State College, PA
618 AM EDT Sun Apr 20 2025

.DISCUSSION...

A cold front will move south of the Mason/Dixon line this
morning, followed by relatively cooler and drier air for
this Easter Sunday.

There will be variable amounts of mainly mid and high level
clouds today, allowing for a fair amount of sunshine.

A Northwest wind will average 8 to 15 mph today. Gusts will
be in the mid teens to low 20s (MPH) over and to the east of
the Susquehanna Valley, with lighter wind across the west,
closer to approaching high pressure. Min RH values this
afternoon will be in the upper 20s to low 30s (%).

Clouds will increase and thicken up tonight into Monday with
the wind switching to a light east, then southeasterly direction.

A South to Southeast wind on Monday will become moderately
gusty during the late morning and afternoon hours at 20 to 25
mph.

The next round of scattered showers and thunderstorms will
arrive Monday afternoon and last into Monday night.

The RH will only dip to the 40s Monday afternoon.
