The National Weather Service in State College has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Bedford County in south central Pennsylvania...
  Southern Somerset County in south central Pennsylvania...

* Until 615 PM EDT.

* At 320 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated sustained heavy rainfall.
  Flooding is ongoing near Meyersdale, Bonton, and Salisbury.
  Several feet of water are reported to be on some roadways. Between
  2.5 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts
  of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
           flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Somerset, Meyersdale, Berlin, Friedens, New Centerville, Mount
  Davis, Lake Gordon, Hyndman, Rockwood, Salisbury, Garrett, Indian
  Lake, Shanksville, Wellersburg, New Baltimore, Casselman,
  Callimont and Flight 93 National Memorial.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
