...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN ARANSAS...EAST
CENTRAL NUECES AND SOUTHEASTERN SAN PATRICIO COUNTIES THROUGH 830 AM
CDT...

At 801 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 24 miles east of Key
Allegro to near Portland. Movement was southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Portland, Ingleside, Port Aransas, Ingleside On The Bay, Gregory,
Aransas Pass, Mustang Island State Park, and Corpus Christi.

This includes US Highway 181 between mile markers 636 and 644.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
