.DISCUSSION...
Critical fire weather conditions are present. Current strong
north to northeasterly winds of 20-25 with gusts to 30-35 mph will
continue over the next few hours before weakening later this
afternoon and tonight, dropping to around 15 mph with gusts to
20-25 mph by 9 PM. Relative humidity is currently near its
minimum, at 15-20% and will rise above 30% by 9 PM, only peaking
around 45% between 4-7 AM Monday morning. Northeasterly winds will
remain rather persistent through the day Monday, sustained 10-15
mph with gusts 20-25 mph, with relative humidity dropping to
around 15% mid- afternoon. In addition to the Red Flag Warning in
effect through this evening, a Fire Danger Statement for elevated
fire weather conditions is in effect for Monday from 9 AM to 9 PM.
Current mixing height around 4500 feet will drop below 1000 feet
by 7 PM this evening, rising above 1000 feet again mid to late
Monday morning.
