Fire Weather Planning Forecast For South Texas for Texas

The elevated fire weather risk has decreased through this
weekend. Relative humidity values will struggle to dip below 30%
and winds are expected to remain less than 20 mph. Southern Webb
County is the only area that may very briefly dip below 30% RH.
We`ll have to continue to monitor closely with Energy Release
Component (ERC) values in the 70-90th percentiles. We`ll maintain
a low (20-40%) chance of showers and thunderstorms across the
Coastal Plains, mainly diurnally driven by daytime heating and
the afternoon seabreeze. Otherwise, elevated fire weather
conditions are not expected at this time.
