...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of South Texas, including the following county,
  Victoria.

* WHEN...Until 645 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways. Some intersections may be closed.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 437 PM CDT, the public reported standing water from
    previous heavy rains in the advisory area due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing. Between 2 and 4
    inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in additional
    minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Victoria, Guadalupe, Wood Hi, Brentwood Subdivision, Victoria
    Colony Creek Country Club, Victoria College, Downtown
    Victoria and Victoria Riverside Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
