.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1234 PM CDT Sat Aug 23 2025

A mid/upper level trough draped southwest to northeast across S
TX, will meander across the area through Sunday. High pressure
will begin to build across the area Monday, however, short waves
will continue to skirt S TX through at least mid week. This will
keep a generally medium (30-60%) chance of convection through mid
week. The pattern of morning convection along the coast and over
the waters, then inland along the sea breeze, will persist. By mid
to late next week, the high pressure will gain more control with
rain chances decreasing, but not completely going away.

Otherwise, hot and humid summer time conditions will persist, with
temperatures around to slightly below normal (due to cloud
cover/rain).

A few showers and storms still around this evening. LRD the

Overnight should be mainly dry for terminals, but some
showers/storms possible mainly along the immediate coast and over
the waters. Very low chance these could impact VCT or CRP but not
including in TAF at this time. Have Prob30 groups for convection
potential mainly during the afternoon Sunday. Mainly VFR
conditions expected except in or around storms.
