The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for portions of...
  Beaufort County in southeastern South Carolina...

* Until 415 PM EDT.

* At 319 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Parris
  Island, moving northeast at 5 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
           damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Hilton Head Island, Beaufort, Port Royal, Clarendon, Ladys Island,
  Beaufort Marine Corps Air Station, Parris Island, Burton, Shell
  Point and Dale.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
