The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Waters from South Santee River SC to Savannah GA out 40 NM...

* Until 1115 PM EDT.

* At 918 PM EDT, a wind shift with a history of producing wind gusts
  of 40 to 50 knots was located along a line from 6 NM northwest of
  Y-73 Reef to 18 NM west of Stono Inshore Reef, moving south at 20
  knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

  SOURCE...Buoy. At 815 PM, numerous wind gusts of 40 to 50 knots
           were observed in the Charleston Harbor and along the
           coast near Folly Beach and Isle of Palms.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds
           and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Edisto Sixty Reef, Edisto Forty Reef, Hunting Island Reef, Edisto
  Offshore Reef, Fripp Island Reef, N. Edisto Nearshore Reef,
  Deveaux Bank, Fripp Island Wreck, Betsy Ross Reef, Saint Helena
  Sound, Fripp Inlet Buoy, Pelican Bank, Beaufort 45 Feet Reef,
  General Gordon and Port Royal Sound.
