...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WELL OFFSHORE OF THE LOWER SOUTH CAROLINA
COAST...

The areas affected include...
Waters from South Santee River SC to Edisto Beach SC extending from
20 to 40 NM...
Waters from Edisto Beach SC to Savannah GA extending from 20 to 40
NM...

* At 1134 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms,
  capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These strong
  thunderstorms were located along a line from 16 NM south of Doug
  Mellichamp Reef to 15 NM northeast of R7 Tower, moving southwest
  at 20 knots.

Locations impacted include...
  Edisto Offshore Reef and R7 Tower.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

These thunderstorms will likely produce winds to around 30 knots,
and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A Special Marine
Warning may eventually be required when these storms reach the
nearshore waters. Boaters should consider heading for shore before
the storm arrives.
