...WATERSPOUTS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE NEARSHORE AND OFFSHORE WATERS
OF SOUTHEAST SOUTH CAROLINA AND SOUTHEAST GEORGIA THIS MORNING...

Doppler radar detected scattered showers across the nearshore and
offshore southeastern South Carolina and southeastern Georgia Atlantic
waters this morning. These showers were developing in an
environment suitable for waterspout formation. Mariners and those
along the coast should be aware that brief waterspouts may develop
this morning, especially in the vicinity of showers. Conditions
should become less supportive for waterspouts by mid-morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If waterspouts occur, move your boat away from the waterspout.
Remember that waterspouts can develop rapidly and produce winds
and seas that are dangerous for vessels and everyone onboard.

Report waterspouts via social media or by calling the National
Weather Service at 1-888-383-2024.
