.DISCUSSION...
A coastal low should support a wide band of showers and embedded
thunderstorms over the SC Lowcountry this afternoon. This pivoting
rain band will bring periods of heavy downpours, gusty winds, and
cloud to ground lightning. The area of widespread rainfall should
slowly lift northward tonight. However, clusters of showers and
thunderstorms will track across the area, bringing rounds of moderate
to heavy rainfall. Rainfall amounts today and tonight between 2 to 3
inches with locally higher amounts.

Tides: High tide this afternoon at 5:09 PM and at 5:07 AM tonight.
Strong tidal currents will occur from now (1230 PM) until high tide this
afternoon. Another period of strong currents will occur this evening,
as water on the Back and Cooper Rivers drain to low tide at 11 PM.

Fog potential for tonight: Low
