320 WGUS82 KCHS 022353 FLSCHS Flood Advisory National Weather Service Charleston SC 753 PM EDT Sat Aug 2 2025 SCC013-019-029-053-030100- /O.NEW.KCHS.FA.Y.0068.250802T2353Z-250803T0100Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Beaufort SC-Charleston SC-Colleton SC-Jasper SC- 753 PM EDT Sat Aug 2 2025 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast South Carolina, including the following counties, Beaufort, Charleston, Colleton and Jasper. * WHEN...Until 900 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 749 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated numerous showers and thunderstorms with torrential rainfall extending from Yonges Island and Edisto Island west to near Gillisonville and Okatie. As much as 1 to 3 inches of rain have fallen in these areas since early this evening with the highest amounts occurring across Beaufort County. An additional 1 to 2 inches can be expected through 9 PM. There is a risk for minor flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Beaufort, Port Royal, Ridgeland, Edisto Beach, Johns Island, Clarendon, Jasper, Hollywood, Ravenel and Seabrook Island. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
