...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING
TO 3 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 5 to
  6 feet in the surf zone. For the High Rip Current Risk,
  dangerous rip currents. For the Coastal Flood Warning, one to
  two feet of inundation above ground level expected along
  shorelines and tidal waterways (8.3 to 8.5 feet Mean Lower Low
  Water at Charleston).

* WHERE...Coastal Colleton and Charleston Counties.

* WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 8 AM EDT Sunday. For
  the High Rip Current Risk, through this evening. For the
  Coastal Flood Warning, from 9 AM this morning to 3 PM EDT this
  afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Significant saltwater inundation will render
  numerous roads impassable. Properties may also flood.
  Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach
  erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
  from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tide will occur around 11:02 AM today
  at Charleston. Saltwater inundation will be possible to 1 to 2
  hours before and after high tide.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If
travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through
water of unknown depth.

Visit water.weather.gov for additional water level and flood
impact information.

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.

  shorelines and tidal waterways (10.2 to 10.4 feet Mean Lower Low
  Water at Fort Pulaski).

* WHERE...In Georgia, Coastal Bryan, Coastal Chatham, Coastal
  Liberty and Coastal McIntosh Counties. In South Carolina,
  Beaufort and Coastal Jasper Counties.

* WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 8 AM EDT Sunday. For
  the High Rip Current Risk, through this evening. For the
  Coastal Flood Advisory, from 9 AM this morning to 3 PM EDT
  this afternoon.

* WHERE...Southern Berkeley County including Daniel Island.

* WHEN...From 9 AM this morning to 3 PM EDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Water may cover some roads and encroach on yards on
  Daniel Island.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tide will occur around 11:02 AM
  today at Charleston. Saltwater inundation will be possible 1
  to 2 hours before and after high tide.
