The National Weather Service in Caribou Maine has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  East central Aroostook County in northern Maine...
  Northern Penobscot County in east central Maine...

* Until 700 PM EDT.

* At 558 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles north of
  Shin Pond, or 15 miles north of Patten, moving east at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Houlton, Hodgdon, Smyrna, Mount Chase, Shin Pond, Dudley Township,
  Smyrna Mills, northeastern Katahdin Woods and Waters National
  Monument, Littleton, Linneus, Monticello, Oakfield, New Limerick,
  Ludlow, Merrill, Dyer Brook, Hersey, Dudley, Webbertown, and Moro
  Plantation.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 95 between mile markers 279 and 304.
 US Highway 1 between Hodgdon and Monticello.
 State Highway 11 near Knowles Corner.
