The National Weather Service in Caribou Maine has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northwestern Piscataquis County in north central Maine...
  West central Aroostook County in northern Maine...
  Somerset County in west central Maine...

* Until 1045 PM EDT.

* At 947 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 33 miles northwest of Saint Pamphile to 22 miles
  west of Saint Juste to 70 miles west of Daaquam, moving southeast
  at 55 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind
           damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Clayton Lake, Lac Frontiere, Daaquam, Saint Juste, Billy-Jack
  Depot, Caucomgomoc Lake, Nine-mile Bridge, Baker Lake, Northeast
  Carry, and Lobster Township.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning
is one of nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
