...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL AROOSTOOK COUNTY
THROUGH 645 PM EDT...

At 618 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles west of Mars Hill, or 11 miles south of Presque Isle, moving
east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Mars Hill, Bridgewater, Scopan, Blaine, Westfield, Chapman, and
Number Nine Mountain.

This includes US Highway 1 between Bridgewater and Mars Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Be alert for ponding water on roadways.
