This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Coastal DownEast Maine.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Large long period swells from distant Hurricane Erin will impact
the Downeast coast Wednesday night through Saturday, with the peak
being Friday and Friday evening. Dangerous surf and rip currents are
expected, with possibly minor coastal flooding and erosion especially
around the midday Friday and Friday evening high tides. Seas will
peak around 10 feet, with almost all of that coming from a long
period southerly swell from Erin.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Large long period swells from distant Hurricane Erin will impact
the Downeast coastal waters Wednesday night through Saturday, with
the peak being Friday and Friday evening. At the peak Friday and
Friday evening, seas will be around 10 feet, with most of that,
around 9 feet, as a long period southerly swell with a period around
17 seconds.
