.DISCUSSION...
This afternoon will be mostly sunny and dry. Northerly winds
could gust up to 20 mph on the coast, but will remain lighter
inland. Relative humidity (RH) values bottom out at 25-35
percent.
Saturday will feature south winds 10-15 mph, gusting 20-25 mph,
and up to 30 mph for the Bangor area and Downeast. A few rain
showers possible North, but dry elsewhere. RH drops to 35-40
percent for the Central Highlands and Bangor region Saturday
afternoon. RH drops to 40-50 percent elsewhere
Sunday will be partly to mostly cloudy. An increasing southerly
wind on Sunday may increase wildfire risk, especially Downeast
where it has been very dry. A wetting rain is expected Monday,
mainly across the west and north, as a frontal system moves in.
Tuesday will be partly cloudy with a chance for some lingering
shower or isolated thunderstorms over central and northern areas.
