.DISCUSSION...
KEY MESSAGE 1...Widespread rain showers this weekend with thunderstorms
each afternoon.

KEY MESSAGE 1 DESCRIPTION...
Sfc low has set up just south of James Bay as of 05z. Surface
warm front extending northern Vermont will continue to lift
north and east through the day today. This will bring an area of
showers into western zones after about noon today, becoming more
widespread this afternoon.

Elevated instability will move into western zones this evening
in the warm sector. Dry slot moves in later this evening with
chc showers/possible drizzle over the Bangor Region and interior
Downeast during the overnight hours.

Cold front looks to approach international border to our west
around 06z with showers moving back in toward daybreak. As the
front moves through CWA the chance for thunder appears to be
less than Saturday evening, but still enough elevated
instability to maintain a slight chance as fropa occurs.

KEY MESSAGE 2...Well above normal temperatures, as high as
10-15 degrees above average, expected Tuesday through late
week.

KEY MESSAGE 2 DESCRIPTION...
High pressure builds in behind the cold front exiting the area
Sunday night which will lead to dry weather, mostly sunny skies,
and warming temperatures throughout much of the the week.
Temperatures will be around average on Monday before beginning
to warm on Tuesday and remaining hot through late week.
Temperatures likely to peak at around 10-15 degrees above normal
with the highest temperatures currently expected towards the end
of the week.
