The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northwestern Edgefield County in central South Carolina...
  Central Saluda County in central South Carolina...
  Northeastern McCormick County in central South Carolina...

* Until 400 PM EDT.

* At 336 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 7 miles east of Mccormick County Airport, or 18 miles
  south of Greenwood, moving east at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree
           damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  northwestern Edgefield, central Saluda and northeastern McCormick
  Counties, including the following locations... Emory, Saluda Co
  Sheriff`s Office, Scurry Airport, Good Hope, Hickory Grove,
  Pleasant Lane, Northside Fire Station Main, Saluda High School, and
  Hollywood Elementary School.

vehicle, move to an interior room or closet on the lowest floor of a
