...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of eastern Richmond,
south central Edgefield and southwestern Aiken Counties through 815
PM EDT...

At 744 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Augusta Regional Airport, or 8 miles south of Augusta, moving north
at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 0 and 10.
 Interstate 520 in Georgia between mile markers 8 and 15.
 Interstate 520 in South Carolina between mile markers 16 and 23.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
