...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of Burke County through
1145 PM EDT...

At 1119 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Burke County Airport, or 7 miles south of
Waynesboro, moving southwest at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of up to 40 to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Waynesboro, Sardis, Midville, Alexander, Burke County Airport, Gough,
Girard, Vidette, Di-
Lane Wildlife Management Area, Magruder, Shell Bluff, Colemans Lake,
and Rosier.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight EDT for
east central Georgia.
