...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of southeastern Calhoun,
southwestern Clarendon, southeastern Bamberg and southeastern
Orangeburg Counties through 745 PM EDT...

At 701 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles southwest of Orangeburg County Airport
to near Bamberg to near Rivers Bridge State Park. Movement was east
at 50 mph.

...Boaters on Lake Marion Should Seek Safe Harbor...

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Bowman, Poplar Creek Landing, Rowesville, Vance, Ehrhardt, Santee
State Park, Eautaw Springs, Santee Cooper Regional Airport,
Branchville, Blounts Landing, Holly Hill, Cope, Orangeburg County
Airport, St. Paul, Rocks Pond Campground and Marina, Yonder Field,
Eutawville, Indian Bluff Recreation Park, Elloree, and Santee.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 26 between mile markers 152 and 169.
 Interstate 95 between mile markers 85 and 110.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

If on or near Lake Marion, get out of the water and move indoors or
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for central South
Carolina.
