...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southern Newberry,
northern Edgefield, western Lexington, Saluda, north central Aiken
and east central McCormick Counties through 930 PM EDT...

At 825 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles west of Saluda County Airport, or 20 miles southeast of
Greenwood, moving northeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Batesburg-Leesville, Saluda, Johnston, Ridge Spring, Saluda County
Airport, Dreher Island State Park, Gilbert, Summit, Monetta, Ward,
Cedar Grove Fire Station, South Shore Marina, Oswald Park, Saluda Co
Sheriff`s Office, Good Hope, Murray, Northside Fire Station Main,
Rocky Point Recreation Area, Hollywood Elementary School, and Camp
Kinard.

This includes Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 34
and 41.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
