.DISCUSSION...
The day begins under clear to mostly clear skies for most
locations, but there is the potential for low cloud development
around daybreak. Due to the presence of a strong low-level jet in
the area, low ceilings more likely than fog this morning. Any low
clouds that develop should lift and transition to scattered
cumulus by midday. Shower and thunderstorm chances increase as the
day goes on and scattered to widespread convection is likely in
the afternoon and evening. A few thunderstorms may become strong,
capable of damaging downburst winds and perhaps some small hail.
A flash flood threat also exists due to the expected slow motion
of the thunderstorms. Similar weather conditions are expected on
Thursday and Friday.
