.DISCUSSION...
A moderately strong surface inversion in place early this morning
with light and variable winds but as a cold front approaches from
the west today, winds aloft will increase significantly. As the
inversion breaks around 10am this morning, gusts will rapidly
increase between 20 to 30 mph out of the southwest through the
afternoon. Moisture will increase but with the front still well to
the west today. While a few light showers are possible this
evening, the highest chance for significant rain will be
tonight, after 8pm. Total rainfall expected to be around a half
inch. With the front moving through tonight, while gusts will
diminish, winds will remain elevated which will prevent fog from
developing.
