Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
244 PM EDT Thu Jun 5 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers and an isolated storm are seen mainly south of
I-20 this afternoon with some breaks in clouds as winds have
shifted out of the southwest to west before continuing toward the
west-northwest this evening with passing low pressure. Rain chances
diminish tonight and Friday is looking mainly dry with warmer
temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s. A spotty shower/storm
cannot be ruled out during the afternoon but most spots
look to be on the dry side. Active weather then continues this
weekend with upper disturbances moving through the region bringing
daily shower/storm chances where some severe storms will be possible
this weekend.

Fog Potential Tonight: Low clouds with areas of fog will be
possible tonight.
