Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
1258 PM EDT Sat Aug 23 2025

.DISCUSSION...
As we get into Sunday and Monday, a more robust cold front
approaches from the northwest. Behind this front, a noticeable
wind shift is expected on Monday with unseasonably dry air and
cooler air pushing into the area by the middle of next week. This
is expected to keep the weather cooler than normal and drier than
normal throughout the week.

Fog potential tonight: Patchy ground fog is possible in fog prone
locations.
