Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
305 AM EDT Sat May 17 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Hot and humid conditions are expected through early next week,
with slightly drier conditions Sunday. That said, relative
humidity will still be high enough to preclude critical fire
weather conditions. Isolated or widely scattered showers or
thunderstorms may move into the area early this morning with
potential redevelopment in the afternoon, ahead of an area of
slightly cooler air left behind by overnight thunderstorms NW of
the region. Confidence remains low as to the extent of any
thunderstorms. A few showers or storms may redevelop each
afternoon through Tuesday. More widespread activity is anticipated
on Wednesday.

Fog Potential through Tonight: Low
