Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
314 AM EDT Thu May 15 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Dry with above normal temperatures through Friday. Winds should
generally be out of the southwest to west through the weekend, though
may be gusty at times in the afternoon due to strong heating. Expecting
some higher gusts to near 20 mph on Saturday. There is a slight chance
for afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday
as a weak front gets hung up in the region. Plenty of surface moisture
will keep relative humidities above 40 percent into next week.

Fog Potential through Tonight: Patchy fog possible towards
daybreak, mainly in fog prone locations.
