Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
1257 AM EST Sun Nov 16 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Warm and breezy conditions are expected today ahead of a cold
front. The boundary will shift winds from southwest to northwest,
though rain is not expected with its passage. Min RH values could
approach critical values across the Northern Midlands today, where
the cold front will cross first. Monday will be cooler and drier
with critically low RH values, generally between 15 and 25
percent, are expected in the afternoon. Having said that, not
expecting the need for fire weather products at this time due to
the light winds during the afternoon as high pressure passes
overhead. Temperatures and moisture gradually increase during the
mid-week period and any rain likely holds off until Friday night
or next weekend.

Fog potential tonight: Fog not expected.
