Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
205 PM EDT Thu Apr 3 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Upper level ridging over the area continues through the weekend
with afternoon temperatures near record highs, around 90F. Winds
are expected to remain breezy out of the south each day with
surface high pressure offshore. This will continue to reinforce
low level moisture, keeping relative humidity generally above 40
percent each day through the weekend. The next chance for
widespread rain with isolated thunderstorms arrives as a cold
front moves through slowly late Sunday into Monday. There is
potential for moderate to heavy rainfall as this system moves
through.

Fog Potential through Tonight: Patchy fog possible near sunrise.
