Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
111 PM EDT Wed Jul 30 2025

.DISCUSSION...
Temperatures will be closer to normal through Friday, although
heat index values will still rise above 100 degrees each
afternoon. Moisture remains relatively high, so despite the
high temps, RH`s should generally remain above critical
thresholds. Shower and storm chances will continue to bring scattered to
numerous coverage each day, even through the weekend. A notable
front with stronger winds and cooler temps is likely late this
week and for this upcoming weekend.

Fog potential tonight: Patchy late night/early morning fog
possible, especially near bodies of water.
